New Christian Women's Job Corp at Agape
|
A new Christian Women’s Job Corps, the Agape West Christian Women’s Job Corps, is up and running as of October 25 for the Fall Semester.
Classes are conducted at the Agape Baptist Church, 3900 Southwest Boulevard (Highway 183), Fort Worth, Texas, 76116.
This new site is designed to meet the needs of women in the southwest part of Tarrant county. Volunteers from several churches and denominations are already involved. Persons wishing to be a part of a vibrant program where physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational changes take place in lives of participants, are needed. Volunteer opportunities are varied both as to types of involvement and time requirements. Wanda Helms, Certified Site Coordinator, welcomes individuals, groups, and churches to volunteer early to help formulate the ideas and programs to meet the needs of God’s children; women helping women. Numerous possibilities are open to become a part of the excitement. Bible study leaders, mentors, career preparation and life skills teaching leaders, basic computer teachers, GED reading, language arts, mathematics, and science tutors, speakers on special subjects, and women gifted in styles, hair dressing, and make up are some of the volunteers needed. Ideas for expanding and providing a more extensive program are welcomed. Groups and Sunday School classes can help tremendously by providing food and supplies . The participants and volunteers eat together each day. Nutritious food, rather than fancy is preferred. Bibles, study books, and school and office supplies are provided free to the participants. Please call Wanda Helms or Brenda Hoffer at Agape Baptist Church, 817-923-6800 if you want to experience the blessing of helping women through Christian Women’s Job Corps. |
