About the TBA
The Tarrant Baptist Association family is made up of Tarrant County Southern Baptist churches voluntarily joining together to support each other and to do the work of the Lord.
This family’s purpose, mission, and vision statements are more than words on a page — they are God-given directives that determine what this family is about:
PURPOSE: To assist member churches individually and cooperatively in carrying out the Great Commission.
MISSION: To assist each member church in becoming a Great Commission church.
VISION: To assist each member church to effectively present Jesus as Savior to every person in Tarrant County and to disciple believers, so together we may fulfill the Great Commission.
This family consists of 395 churches. These member churches sponsor over 300 mission congregations, apartment churches, and preaching points. They serve Christ and their communities through over 1500 ministries. And these numbers are increasing almost daily!
We and our member churches are called to minister in a county of almost one-and-a-half million people—a diverse population that continues to grow rapidly. We all rejoice and give thanks to God for all that He has done and is doing in Tarrant County. Our family of churches sees the challenges of the present and future and knows that these can be met only in the power of God!
